Finding Time For You

Taking the time for something you enjoy

Looking at the past two months of this year so far, 2010 has been an absolute whirlwind! Going to work as the sun is rising and coming home after sunset everyday in the dead of winter has left me feeling tired, stressed, drained and in serious need of some leisure time!
That is why I am taking the time for what I like to call "relaxation reading" before bed.It's simply just taking a few moments to read something I enjoy; it may be a few chapters of a new book or an old favorite, a magazine, or any other reading material that I enjoy. I have found that doing this helps me decompress and sleep more soundly. It provides a momentary break from the reality of work deadlines, schedules and other "real world" circumstances.
I strongly recommend that everyone find something that they enjoy and make the time in their schedule to do it daily. Finding time for something that you find fulfilling will rejuvenate you and help you prepare to tackle your next busy day without suffering the risk of burn out! Draw, read, paint, anything that you receive enjoyment and fulfillment - taking a few moments out of the day is more than worth it.
